Military Programs
With over 800 Veterans and active duty military on our waiting list, there is a great need for the program. The Military Program serves those pre- and post- 9/11 with invisible injuries; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Military Sexual Trauma, and Poly-trauma. The Military Program began in Sun Valley in 2005 and has since expanded to Los Angeles and New York given the reach of your support toward Higher Ground programming. Recreation Program
The Recreation Program, based in Sun Valley, provides opportunities for students from Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind, as well as youth, teens, and adults with cognitive,developmental, and physical disabilities in the Wood River Valley.
There are over 200 youth, teens, and adults in the Wood River Valley with cognitive, developmental, and physical disabilities who take part in Higher Ground's year round programming.
