Higher Ground is hosting a chartered Wake Surfing boat adventure with Ian Scott, owner of IPS Surf and pro wake surfer, to deliver a therapeutic outdoor experience through wake surfing and camaraderie.

Participants will arrive at the boat launch at 9am for accountability and a safety brief, load up on the boat, and enjoy a day on the water of Long Lake where each participant will get around 30 minutes behind the boat depending on group size and riders ability. Lunch will be provided.

This program fosters healing, resilience, and connection for veterans and first responders through immersive experiences in nature, physical activity, and peer interaction — all core tenets of Higher Ground’s mission.

All wake surfing gear, instruction, and food will be provided. Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and wear appropriate clothing for activity and weather.
