APPLYHigher Ground offers seasonal internship opportunities across all our programming areas. If interested in therapeutic recreation, group and individual therapeutic methods, working with individuals with disabilities, or the nonprofit sphere, this organization will provide a unique environment to develop your skills.
The ideal intern candidate will have experience in some of the following: skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, rafting, cycling, fishing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, swimming, and rock climbing.
We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, organized, and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. There are plenty of opportunities to help others within Higher Ground. For those who are pursuing their therapeutic recreation degree, we follow the ATRA standards of practice and NCTRC internship guidelines.
