Big Mountain Team

Big Mountain Team is an elite group created for independent skiers and snowboarders who have both the ability and motivation to take on the challenges of Bald Mountain’s black-diamond terrain. This team is designed for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and enjoy the camaraderie of riding alongside like-minded athletes. Participants must be 16 years or older and have a permanent disability, as well as the skill and confidence to navigate advanced terrain independently.

This team meets weekly at the iconic River Run Lodge on Bald Mountain, offering the perfect starting point for thrilling runs and team-building experiences. While transportation to and from the lodge is not provided, the rewards of participating in this program are immense—athletes will have the opportunity to challenge themselves, build endurance, and enjoy the incredible sense of accomplishment that comes with conquering Baldy’s demanding slopes.

Big Mountain Team is offered free of charge to Higher Ground Idaho Local Members, making it an exceptional opportunity for advanced skiers and snowboarders in our community to grow their skills and enjoy the mountain in an inclusive and supportive environment.
